What happens in therapy?

First and foremost, you can expect to be welcomed into a warm, safe space that fosters guided self-exploration. You can trust that your most authentic self will be met with validation and empathy.

Once that is established, we will address any distorted thoughts, reduce maladaptive behavior, and improve emotional well-being. We may also work on skills to boost confidence, improve communication, set appropriate boundaries, and encourage effective coping so that you can experience a better quality of life.

What is CBT?

CBT, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, is a highly researched and useful therapeutic modality that encourages individuals to understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. By using this tool, you can learn more about yourself so that you can be empowered to achieve change where necessary and effectively cope with daily stressors.

How long is therapy?

Each session is 55 minutes.

Some people prefer weekly sessions while others find it just as useful to meet every other week.
